Rennie Berrios Hernandez (he/they) serves as Child Trends’ DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) manager. In this role, Rennie will develop and facilitate trainings, coordinate the organization’s revised equity review process, and support its ongoing work to increase diversity in recruitment, among other duties.

Rennie joins Child Trends after practicing DEI in higher education, where they held inaugural roles within the respective DEI offices of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University and the American Musical Dramatic Academy. In that capacity, Rennie supported university-wide strategy development and implementation, project planning, stakeholder development and consultation, policy review, recruitment and retention, and disability accommodations. Also prior to joining Child Trends, Rennie worked as the culture and DEI coordinator at Miller Kaplan. They graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in psychology and education studies.

Rennie is thrilled to join Child Trends and empower its ongoing efforts to center and integrate equity into the infrastructure of the organization.
