Quynh Nhu Dao is a research assistant in the early childhood department. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in developmental psychology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. During her undergraduate studies, Quynh was involved in multiple research projects studying racial identity development, and adverse childhood experiences (ACE). Quynh is also a McNair Scholars alumnus, where her research focused on academic achievement in transracial adoptees. Previously, she interned at Think Small, a local nonprofit in Minnesota that aims to improve access to early childhood education. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s in education policy at the University of Minnesota, where she hopes to continue the work of advancing early childhood education access to low-income and immigrant families.
