Jack is a research analyst in the early childhood development area. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

During his senior year of college, he conducted an evaluation of an English As a Second Language program in Winnipeg, which helped identify ways the client could better support its student body of recent immigrants and refugees to Canada. After college, Jack served with the AmeriCorps VISTA program at College Possible, where he learned the ins and outs of managing data at a nationwide nonprofit. He then became the evaluation specialist for the Girl Scouts of Minnesota where he was in charge of managing programmatic data across the organization. While at the Girl Scouts of Minnesota, he led the process of survey creation, administration, and analysis for the Girl Scouts ConnectZ program, which serves 3,000 girls throughout southern Minnesota.

Since coming to Child Trends, Jack has worked on studies regarding language and literacy, child care, and preschool programs. At Child Trends he has contributed to data tool development, overseen data collection efforts, and performed descriptive analyses on survey and administrative data.

Jack is passionate about improving P-12 education systems in the United States and plans to continue his education by pursuing a Master’s in Program Evaluation.
