BCAP Alliance Leader, Amazon Web Services

Chuck Redmond is BCAP Alliance Leader for Amazon Web Services. Prior to joining AWS, he was the Strategy Director at an asset management firm, Trident Management LLC, where he led the development and execution of their impact strategy. He was also helping launch their American Dreams Fund which will invest in small and medium sized businesses with a commitment to increasing diversity at all levels leading to decreases in the racial wealth gap. He was formally the VP of Strategy and Operations at Youth Invest Partners (formerly known as Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP)+Raise DC), a nonprofit organization that acts as a regional backbone for cross-sector collaboration and direct investments, supporting children and youth (ages 0-24) and their families in Greater Washington. Chuck led the firm’s business support functions and long-term strategic planning. His role at Youth Invest Partners builds upon work done earlier in his career to build financial sustainability while achieving measurable impact for mission-driven organizations.

Prior to joining Youth Invest Partners, Chuck worked as a strategist with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a rare disease-focused venture philanthropy organization, where he helped define core values for the organization and build a long-term financial model to frame resource allocation decisions against mission-related outcomes. Chuck began his career working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he supported clients on a range of topics from corporate finance to organizational health. While at McKinsey, Chuck co-founded the D.C. Social Impact Group which provides pro bono consulting services to nonprofits and social enterprises in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Chuck holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Finance from the University of South Carolina.
